When you have a very fine essay by Larry Sanger (of all people) about the dangers of coder-geek 
anti-intellectualism, you go with it. (And then you link to your own column dealing with some of the same issues, mostly because you still love the headline you wrote for it, “The Gadget in the Gray Flannel Suit.”)
